Passing of the Golden Shovel NFL Green Event:  The City of Inglewood hosted the “Passing of the Golden Shovel” NFL Green event on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Edward Vincent Park.  During the opening ceremony for this symbolic “greening” event, representatives of Tampa Bay (the previous host city) passed the “golden shovel” to the City of Inglewood marking our countdown to Super Bowl LVI.  The event included the planting of “56” trees and other activities designed to increase the park’s tree inventory, beautify the park and encourage community.
